Business Development & Sales:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the fleet van customer base.

Generate leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and researching potential clients.

Develop and execute tailored sales strategies to meet specific client needs.

Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns to attract new business.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business.

Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Conduct regular meetings and reviews with clients to assess fleet performance and future requirements.

Product Knowledge & Consultation:
-
Stay up-to-date with the latest van models, fleet management solutions, and industry trends.

Provide consultative selling by advising clients on the best fleet solutions based on their operational needs.

Work closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive the best after-sales service and support.

Negotiation & Deal Closing:
-
Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotes to prospective clients.

Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements that meet both client needs and company profitability targets.

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

Market Research & Analysis:

Conduct market analysis to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for growth.

Monitor industry trends, customer feedback, and sales data to continuously refine business development strategies.

Reporting & KPIs:

Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates for management.

Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and KPIs.

Experience:

Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management, within the automotive or fleet van sector.

Strong understanding of fleet management, leasing options, and commercial vehicle requirements.

Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.

Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with the fleet van and commercial vehicle industry.

Understanding of financing options, leasing, and operational cost analysis for fleet clients., * Experience in managing fleet accounts.

Knowledge of fleet management technology and telematics.

A valid driver’s license.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and business growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and building long-term relationships with clients in need of fleet van solutions. Your main focus will be on generating leads, developing sales strategies, and closing deals within the fleet van and commercial vehicle sector.
Seeking someone who knows the market, who has sold to Fleet and is currently selling to Fleet Directors or Managers. This could include Commercial Van Rental Business Development selling rental solutions for Fleet Vans, Fuel Cards Sales, Sign Writing Sales, Warranties or Fleet Insurance Sales.
