Highly successful and expanding SME require part time Accounts Manager for a 4 day a week, on-site position, based on-site at superb offices, in Weybridge.
About the role
Reporting to the Finance Director the part-time Accounts Manager will undertake a varied role that will manage all aspects of payables & receivables and will assist with a variety of month-end accounting routines. Key duties include:
- Accurate allocation of customer receipts to the company accounting system
- Checking and processing of supplier invoices to ensure prompt payments
- Reconciliation of any outgoing payments to ensure correct allocation across all supplier accounts
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Checking and payment of employee expense claims
- Support month-end and year-end processes including statutory accounting and monthly reporting.
- Responding to any queries from external and internal departments.
- Provide general support to the wider finance and commercial teams including assisting with month-end accounts, audit preparation, data entry, document management, and reporting.
About you:
- You will have a minimum of 3 years Accounts experience and have a good understanding of both accounts payable and receivable
- In addition you will be a proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effective at all levels
- Applicants will ideally have experience of month end accounting routines including accruals and pre-payments and ideally have studied for the AAT qualification.
- The successful applicant will be a dedicated team player with strong IT skills including; MS Word, Excel and knowledge of current accounting systems
