18th Edition qualified electrician with excellent testing knowledge, skills and experience to carry out electrical installation, testing and maintenance work in domestic homes and small to medium commercial premises. Job locations mostly throughout Central Scotland but can also be in other parts of Scotland.

Ideal candidate would have electrical testing experience in domestic homes occupied by social housing association tenants as well as private letting occupiers. Company willing to provide ongoing trade training and up-skills - eg PASMA, IPAF and relevant electrical trade training. Long term job prospect with a 30-year-old well-respected Stirling based company. We do not recruit for the short term so good opportunity for the right person to join our team.

Purpose of the job

To provide a high quality and efficient service, carrying out all aspects of electrical work in domestic and commercial properties for private and public clients in and around Stirling, Falkirk and Alloa areas as well as across Central Scotland. As part of our electrical and security system team, the electrician will be responsible for carrying out all electrical work associated with both reactive and planned work.

An ideal opportunity for someone who has worked within private and social rented housing properties. The electrician must have essential knowledge and experience of undertaking installation work, maintenance, repairs, fault finding and testing work within domestic and commercial properties. The electrician will be required to work within domestic homes and anyone with no suitable experience of this type of work should not apply.

The role will also involve carrying out smoke alarm inspections and upgrades in line with the Scottish Government legislation. All undertakings will be in line with statutory requirements, regulatory and technical standards, customer expectations and organisational procedures. The electrician will be required to work as part of our team, on their own and on occasions with apprentices and work will be undertaken but not restricted to domestic and commercial properties in Central Scotland.

Position details

Company vehicle will be provided and applicant must have a full UK driving license. Company vehicle can be used for personal use providing relevant HMRC tax legislation is followed. Salary is based on experience, with minimum of SJIB rates of pay but generally above those rates with good experience.

Hours of work

40 hours per week Mon-Fri. On-site 8.30am-5pm. Availability to join 3pm Friday finish rota.
