St Ninians Primary School are seeking a motivated, self organised, confident and experienced Support for Learning Assistant to join our team.

Our school is an exciting place to work and learn. Support and inclusion for the young learners within it are at the heart of everything we do. Our staff are all forward thinking and a friendly, warm team to work with.

We have a team of SLA staff who work closely with the teachers designing activities and programmes suitable for the children in order to support them effectively and progress their learning and attainment. This can often be learning outside, in groups, individually or within the class setting.

Your post will also include supporting our break times in the playground and the lunch hall. This part of your role requires you to support the children make good relationships as well as help them sort out the tricky times with friends. This is often done through games designed by yourself or in restorative conversations with children.

As part of the SLA team and the wider school team, you will feel supported throughout your time here. You will be a positive team member and support others too.

  • 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service)
