We are seeking an enthusiastic, solutions focused Support for Learning Assistant to join the team within Katrine House, our Additional Support Needs provision. The successful post holders will work with a range of pupils, supporting the young people in a classroom setting within Katrine House and on occasions helping them access opportunities and activities in the mainstream school. Katrine House pupils get involved in a wide range of learning experiences both within a classroom environment and by accessing the local community and surrounding area.
An understanding of complex additional support needs, including autism, and a knowledge of strategies to support young people to co-regulate throughout the school day would be advantageous. This post is 27.5 hours per week, working in line with the school day and we are happy to consider other part time hours. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
