An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support for Learning Assistant to join our team at Kippen Primary School. This is a permanent post - 27.5 hours per week. We are inviting applications from enthusiastic, committed individuals for the role of Support for Learning Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to join our dedicated and welcoming team and support learners to engage positively with their learning. As a valued member of our school community, you will be fully involved in the life and work of the school.

You will:

  • Support individual learners and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Contribute to a high-quality, learner-centred education.
  • Help promote the wellbeing, independence and confidence of all learners.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support colleagues and families.
  • Support a nurturing and fully inclusive learning environment.

You will be a reliable, patient and innovative individual, who will work effectively in partnership with others. In addition, you will have good communication and organisational skills, a positive and solution-focused attitude, and show a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

  • 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service). Pro-rated for part-time roles.
