Are you an experienced finance professional looking to make a positive impact whilst developing your skills in local government? Stirling Council are currently seeking an adaptable Senior Accountancy Assistant with a keen eye for detail to join our Service Accounting team. As part of the team you will help support a number of service areas across Stirling Council. You will be a key aid to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day processes within the Service Accounting Team.
This will involve undertaking a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Month end reporting
- Budget setting & monitoring
- Journal entries & FOI inquiries
You will work with fellow team members to ensure that data & analysis are provided to service leaders in a timely and accurate manner to allow leaders to continue the effective financial management of the Council’s resources. The successful candidate will ideally be a part qualified Accountant. They will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering professional financial support services, as well as budgeting and month end reporting. Experience of Oracle Fusion would be advantageous.
