In the Stirling High School community we aspire to provide stimulating and challenging experiences that will enable all learners to develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and values that will prepare them for life today and in the future.

Stirling High School is looking for an Engagement Teacher to provide targeted, flexible, and high-quality teaching and intervention across the school community.

The post holder will work across the school to improve attainment, attendance, engagement, wellbeing, and positive destinations by:

  • Leading Targeted Interventions: Delivering high-quality literacy and numeracy interventions for S1–S3 pupils who are not on track to achieve expected Curriculum for Excellence outcomes.
  • Outreach & Re-engagement: Working intensively with pupils experiencing significant barriers to attendance and engagement, using creative, relationship-based approaches to reconnect them with learning.
  • Collaborative Support: Working closely with Pupil Support, subject departments, families, and external agencies to design individualised learning opportunities that complement mainstream education.

Please note that although the application process allows the uploading of a CV (resume), this is not a requirement for teaching posts and if submitted will not be taken into account during shortlisting to ensure a consistent approach for assessing all candidates. You should instead fully answer the question section with all relevant experience and skills.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
