We are committed to enabling families to remain together with the support of services that are designed to meet their specific needs. Where children do need to access alternative care away from their families, this must be in a loving and nurturing environment where children and young people’s voices are heard.

Our Promise Lead Officer is a key role in ensuring service design and strategic planning that is in keeping with the aims and vision of the Promise. This will include engaging with children, families, communities and partners to consult and co-produce services that can support the delivery of these aims.

We are looking for a dynamic, confident and highly motivated individual with degree level qualifications and successful experience of engaging people to work towards a shared aim. As well as the relevant qualifications and experience, qualities we are looking for in the successful candidate are:

  • a can-do attitude
  • vision
  • passionate about supporting children and their families
  • energy
  • initiative
  • good communication skills
  • self-discipline

This is a fixed term, part time role (funded until March 2027). Further conversation will be held with the preferred appointable candidate to confirm working patterns, in line with the needs of the service, however there is scope for some flexibility.

Should you wish to undertake this role on a secondment basis you must have prior approval from your line manager before applying for this position. If you wish to discuss this role prior to application please contact Karen Bryce, Service Manager by emailing brycek@stirling.gov.uk.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
