An opportunity has arisen within Community Safety Enforcement for two Enforcement Officers to join our team. Enforcement Officers contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of our communities through our enforcement duties in relation to Parking and Environmental Crime. Environmental Crime enforcement includes fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, and abandoned vehicles, while parking enforcement includes both on and off street enforcement of established parking restrictions.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a range of enforcement duties and will join a team of officers that cover this important area of work across the Council area, in a diverse and vibrant working environment from urban and city settings to rural communities. The post requires working over a 7 day period, working a variable shift pattern, and is based predominantly outdoors. The ability to undertake prolonged periods of outdoor activity both on foot and driving vehicles is essential, in addition to adopting a problem-solving approach in day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check.
  • Applicants should be prepared to work across a 7 day week and in a variety of environments, from urban to rural settings.
  • The role involves enforcement duties related to Parking and Environmental Crime enforcement (fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling, and abandoned vehicles).

  • Willingness to work a variable shift pattern over a 7 day period.

  • Eligibility to pass a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check.
