Job Description

Wallace High School is committed to the provision of the highest standards of educational provision for each and every young person. School Technicians are integral to the support of classroom practitioners in order that they can deliver high quality teaching across the school.

The postholder will help to ensure that the technical support needs of the whole school are met effectively. You will provide technician support primarily in the area of Science but may also be required to assist in supporting Technology, Audio-Visual and IT activities within the school.

\\n

You should possess, as a minimum, a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or equivalent in a Science related subject (eg Chemistry). You should be able to work on your own initiative and have good organisational and communication skills. An awareness of Health & Safety (COSHH) in the workplace is also required.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
