St Ninians Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Principal Teacher to join our forward-thinking and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who demonstrates excellence in learning and teaching, inspires and empowers colleagues, and is committed to driving continuous improvement for all learners.

The successful candidate will lead by example, modelling the highest standards of pedagogy and professional practice. They will play a key role in motivating and supporting staff, fostering a collaborative culture, and working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance outcomes for children and families.

St Ninians Primary is a non-denominational school situated in St Ninians, located just one mile south of the historic city centre of Stirling, and has a proud heritage dating back to 1875. Since moving into our new building in October 2016, we have benefited from exceptional facilities, including capacity for 16 classes, a large multi-purpose dining hall, a spacious games hall, and a range of flexible breakout learning spaces. Our nursery offers a high-quality, purpose-built environment designed to support our youngest learners to thrive.

The school currently serves approximately 410 children across 15 classes, alongside an extended year nursery provision with capacity for 32 children per session. Our dedicated staff team is fully committed to the principles of Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC), ensuring that every learner is supported to achieve their full potential. We foster a nurturing, values-driven culture rooted in aspiration, inclusion, and respect. Our vision and values are embedded in all aspects of school life and are brought to life through our curriculum and daily practice.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
