Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Property and Assets section of Housing Services as a Modern Apprentice Administrator. Within the team, you will learn how to operate our systems related to our repairs and maintenance scheduling systems including how to programme & arrange appointments, liaise with staff, requisition supplies, progressing work, and issuing letters, resolve problems and contribute with administrative duties. You will also be working with our materials controller in all aspects of stores duties including ordering and purchasing of stock material, stock taking, vehicle imprest stocks, check delivery documentation and the management of requisitions.

As a Modern Apprentice, you will undertake a Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship at SCQF 5 and undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old by September 2025 (or an official summer 2025 leaver) and be able to demonstrate enthusiasm this role and a commitment to learn. You will access training through a local training provider.

This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.

  • 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service)
