A unique opportunity has arisen to join Stirling Council’s Waste Services. We are recruiting two Modern Apprentices who will assist in the implementation of Waste Services projects such as City Centre bin hubs, Zero Waste Scotland projects and preparing for bottle recycling scheme. Applicants will have an interest in learning about engaging with Stirling Council residents, developing communication skills, collecting & analysing data, reporting and how our procurement process works. The successful applicants will learn how to respond to waste enquiries as appropriate.
The successful candidates will work towards appropriate training and qualifications as required by the Service and support development. The skills, knowledge and experience gained in this can lead to successful apprentices may progress to more senior project management roles in a variety of sectors (including Local Government) and industries, ranging from finance and law to engineering and IT.
The successful candidates aged 16-19 years old and will be based at Lower Polmaise Recycling Centre near Fallin, Stirling.
This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced.
