An opportunity has arisen within Community Safety Enforcement for two Enforcement Officers to join our team. Enforcement Officers contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of our communities through our enforcement duties in relation to Parking and Environmental Crime. Environmental Crime enforcement includes fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles, and parking enforcement includes both on and off street enforcement of established parking restrictions.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the range of enforcement duties and will join a team of officers that cover this important area of work across the Council area, in a diverse and vibrant working environment from urban and city settings to rural communities. The post requires working over a 7 day period, working a variable shift pattern between 0700 and 2000 and is based predominantly outdoors. The ability to undertake prolonged periods of outdoor activity both on foot and driving vehicles is essential in addition to adopting a problem-solving approach in day-to-day activities.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check. For successful candidates progressing to the next stage of our recruitment process, we will hold an assessment centre on Wednesday 21st January 2026.
