Killearn Nursery Class, part of Killearn Primary School, is looking for a Senior Early Childhood Educator who will provide nurture and care towards our children, and will inspire, motivate, support and challenge colleagues in the development of their own practice. The successful candidate will have the necessary skills to effectively work in partnership with our nursery staff team, children, families and community.
They will support the implementation of suitable programmes of learning which meet the needs of the individual child in line with Local and National Guidance and have knowledge of curriculum frameworks. They will hold or be willing to work towards a relevant level 9 practice qualification, for example, BA Childhood Practice. The successful candidate will have relevant experience of working in early learning and childcare settings and will be able to demonstrate the required skills and competencies of the role.
As a Senior Early Childhood Educator, they will support the delivery, management, planning and implementing of a flexible, high-quality service appropriate to the needs of children and families in our nursery and wider community. You will be registered as a Manager with the SSSC prior to appointment, or within 6 months of your appointment. This is a part-time (14hrs), permanent post; the applicant must be able to work between the hours of 8.00am-6.00pm. The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
