An exciting opportunity has arisen at the new Corbiewood Primary School for a permanent janitor. The post will involve providing janitorial services on a term-time, full-time 41 week contract basis in support of the school community. Working hours for the post will be Monday to Friday 07:30am - 03:30pm (including a 60 minutes unpaid break) paid at Stirling Council Grade 4.
Personal protective equipment will be provided and training where necessary. Applicants will require to be physically fit, as porterage and other heavy lifting forms a large part of the role, and be prepared at times to work outdoors in inclement weather. Occasional overtime working at evenings to cover school lets may also be required. Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications. There may be a requirement for ad hoc cover at other educational establishments.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
