An exciting employment opportunity has arisen at Stirling Council for a Caretaker/Cleaner in support of Fintry Primary School and Nursery. The successful candidate will deliver a caretaking and cleaning service, including key-holding in support of the School and Nursery community on a 27.5 hours per week, 39 week term time, temporary contract. Hours of work will be 7am-8.30am and then 3pm-7pm paid at Stirling Council Grade 3.
Personal protective equipment, tools and training will be provided where necessary. Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items, cleaning surfaces to head height and prepared to work alone and at times to work outdoors in inclement weather. A requirement to work overtime to cover Lets may at times be required. Applicants will also require a basic working knowledge of IT and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. Responsibilities:
- Deliver a caretaking and cleaning service, including key-holding in support of the School and Nursery community.
- Carry out cleaning and caretaking duties as assigned, adhering to health and safety requirements.
- Maintain building security and respond to repairs or issues as directed.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Basic working knowledge of IT and willingness to undertake training to use Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.
- Ability to lift heavy items and clean surfaces to head height; prepared to work alone and outdoors in inclement weather.
- PVG for Children required; if progressed after interview, complete form and verification.
- Hours and overtime flexibility as described; willingness to cover Lets when required.
