Housing Services within Stirling Council are currently looking to recruit two Plumber/Gas Engineers to join our in-house trade team. We currently provide Repairs and Maintenance services across our housing portfolio as well as undertaking Capital Investment works, Major Adaptations and Refurbishments and the construction of New Build Housing for our tenants.
The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of Plumbing and Gas works and undertake Capital Investment works such as kitchen/bathroom installation, new boiler and heating systems, major adaptations and the refurbishments of void properties etc. as well as undertaking gas servicing and general repairs/maintenance of existing installations within our properties. The candidate may also be involved in the installation of heating and boilers etc. for the construction of our New Build Housing.
The successful candidate must have a full driving license and must participate in an out of hours standby/emergency service. In order to meet our customer expectations candidates may be offered the opportunity to participate in a four day rolling shift pattern of four days working and four days off. The shift will consist of an extended working day with enhanced hourly rates.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check.
