Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Infrastructure Delivery, Stirling Council for a Facilities Supervisor.

The post will involve providing supervisory support within Stirling and at outlying schools and nurseries on a 30 hours per week on a 52 weeks per year basis.

Core working hours are between 1 – 7pm Monday to Friday, albeit an element of flexibility is available and expected. The role is paid at Stirling Council Grade 6.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the facilities officer with training, supervision and support of facilities staff (cleaners, janitors, caretakers) within Stirling Schools and Nurseries and at some schools and nurseries out with the city.

A full driving licence and access to a personal vehicle to allow transport within locations is essential. Fuel/Travel costs will be reimbursed via the Stirling Council vehicle scheme. Personal protective equipment and training will be provided where necessary.

Applicants will also require a working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and be willing to undertake training to allow them to utilise Stirling Council online training and human resources IT applications.

This role is ideal for those who have undertaken a charge-hand cleaner or janitorial role and wish to progress within the field of facilities management.

The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children and Adults. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.

Qualifications & Requirements

Salary Information: Stirling Council Grade 6.

Important requirements include a valid driving licence with access to a personal vehicle, willingness to transport to various locations, and readiness to work within school and nursery environments.
