About the Roles
We are looking for Prop Modellers with texture painting and UV experience.
There are two roles available at a Mid or Junior level.
Responsibilities
- Creating 3D stylised Props
- Effectively realising a 2D concept through to 3D
- Creating clean UV maps and baking out texture maps for use in surfacing
- Producing render tests for the approval process
- Working within a team of modelling artists and regularly communicating between your Team Lead, Directors and Art Director.
- Managing your assets and time efficiently to meet deadlines
- Responding positively, acting on notes and feedback from our Art Directors, Directors, Character Supervisor, CG Supervisor
- Reporting to your Team Lead & Line Producer if there are any issues to flag that may affect the schedule
What We Are Looking For
- Demonstrable experience of using Maya for Modelling, Sculpting, UV Unwrapping, Texturing and Surfacing tasks
- Familiarity with Substance Painter and PBR texturing workflows.
- Interpreting volume and form when creating models from concept designs
- Demonstration of knowledge and understanding of clean topology practices, particularly when it comes to subdivision modelling
- Team player and great collaborator
- Creative eye with excellent problem solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of 3D software packages and pipelines
- Ability and experience meeting demanding deadlines whilst retaining a high quality level of work
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine would be a bonus, which can be from a games, feature or vfx background.
- Artists must be based regionally within the UK (outside the M25) and we’re particularly keen to connect with Scotland-based artists.
Location
Fully remote or Scottish-based artists are welcomed to work hybrid from our studio in Stirling.
Contract Type
Roles will be offered on a freelance contract, expected to start from August or October 2026 running until early 2027.
Hours
Our standard studio hours are 7 working hours a day (usually 10am to 6pm), Monday to Friday. We are open to discussing flexible working hours on an individual basis within the production pipeline.
