As our Catering Supervisor, you are the vital link supporting the Catering Manager. You will ensure operational efficiency, compliance assurance, and active team mentorship. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring every service meets our high standards for food quality and customer satisfaction.
Role Responsibility
- Operational Oversight: Support the Catering Managers in managing and directing the kitchen team to ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for students and staff.
- Inventory & Control: Assist the Catering Managers with essential ordering, stock control, and inventory management to maintain operational efficiency.
- Culinary Support: Support the team in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using fresh and sustainable ingredients.
- Compliance Champion: Guarantee full adherence to the highest standards of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, and Allergen management protocols.
- Team Mentorship: Assist the Catering Managers in providing guidance and supportive leadership to the team, fostering a positive and high-performing environment.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients and customers, representing our service brand on-site.
The Ideal Candidate
- A natural, positive leader who can effectively support team direction and demonstrate exceptional teamwork.
- Possess exceptional Customer Service skills and a dedication to service excellence.
- Previous experience in leading or mentoring a team is strongly preferred.
- Possess a sound knowledge of Health and Safety practices within a professional kitchen.
- Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred (though comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate).
- A full UK driving licence.
