Stir Bakery is an award-winning bakery in Cambridge, recently named as one of Britain's Top 10 Craft Bakeries. Founded in 2017, Stir Bakery recently decided to stop its wholesale operations and now exclusively focuses its output on its sister organisations, Stir cafes (four large premium cafes across Cambridge) and Marvins Sandwiches (a new gourmet sandwich brand in the centre of Cambridge).
We are now seeking to recruit at least one Senior Baker to help take our product range to the next level. Reporting directly to the Head of Stir Bakery, this role will be primarily focused on the production and development of Stir Bakery's bread range. This is a crucial role as the products in this range underpin the majority of the Stir cafés menus, are the biggest selling items through Stir retail and online activities, and are integral to the growing success of the Marvins Sandwich brand.
We are looking for people who can hit the ground running, and you will therefore need to already have several years relevant experience as a senior baker. You will be working in Stir Bakery's central production unit, which is located in the north of Cambridge, and you will be on straight shifts five days a week, with a usual working week of 40 hours. This role is a predominantly nighttime role and will require weekend working. We are offering a competitive salary and a full range of employment benefits.
