The Role
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the creative industry? We are looking for a Studio Assistant to keep our kit in check, assist on shoots and keep our studios ready for any project that comes our way.
This is a junior support role designed partly as a training position. It is critical to our business, and previous holders of this role have successfully advanced into positions as photographers, filmmakers, and senior technicians within our team.
Full time, based at our studios in Cheltenham, GL52 8TW.

Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment & Kit Management (Primary Responsibility)
You will act as the \”gatekeeper\” of the kit room, holding responsibility for the state of the gear regardless of who used it last.
- Universal Prep: You are responsible for prepping, checking, and organizing equipment for all projects.
- Logistics: ensuring equipment returning from shoots is checked immediately, cleaned, and stored to negate loss or damage.
- Asset Management: Updating the database with kit movements and organising repairs under supervision.
- Organisation: Maintaining the kit store, armoury, and completing monthly studio audits.
2. Production & On-Set Support
- Technical Assist: Support Filmmakers and Photographers with lighting setups, power, rigging, and camera work.
- Training: Learning the ropes as a technical camera assitant & lighting technician.
- Logistics: Handle the safe loading and unloading of equipment.
- Client Experience: Assist with general problem solving and maintain a high-quality client experience by keeping the set tidy and managing client areas.
3. Studio & Fleet Operations
- Studio Standards: Ensure the studio is tidy, safe, and set up prior to shoots.
- Power Management: Keep batteries cycled, charged, and ready daily.
- Fleet: Drive company vehicles to locations, and ensure vans are fueled and clean.
- Set Building: Assist with set builds by moving and stocking materials under direction from the set builders.
