Role: Senior Asset and Process Improvement Technician
Location: Homebased with site visits approximately 2-3 times per month
Salary: circa £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time – Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

Joining the Operations Improvement Team, the Senior Technician will enhance clean and wastewater processes across key sites. You’ll lead improvement projects to minimise business risk, using your analytical skills to influence operational decisions. Collaboration with colleagues and contractors will be key to safely implementing improvements. We seek a curious, determined individual with a drive for operational development.
Candidates should be based within our operational area (see our website for details) and be prepared to travel to sites 2-3 times per month with overnight stays as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing specialist guidance for asset and process compliance and improvements
- Developing operation and maintenance plans aligned with asset risk, performance, and cost
- Supporting technical investigations and root cause analysis
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver interventions
- Producing high-standard reports for informed decision-making
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and environmental compliance
- Understanding of asset management processes
- Experience managing contractors for asset improvements
- Commercial awareness of improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- IT literacy, including Excel and PowerBi (desirable)
- Experience working with the Environment Agency, understanding permits and regulations (advantageous)
Due to site requirements, candidates must:
- Have lived in the UK for at least 5 years
- Be able to obtain Security Clearance
- Possess a full, valid driving license and be comfortable driving a van
- Be willing to attend sites and undertake overnight stays as needed
