Im Team Europa in der Welt der Stiftung Mercator arbeiten wir daran, die Handlungsfähigkeit Europas mit konstruktiven Beziehungen im Inneren und nach außen zu stärken, um zu einer inklusiveren internationalen Ordnung beizutragen. Wir unterstützen den Kompetenzaufbau über das Handeln Chinas und der Türkei und helfen dabei, die europäische Integration insbesondere im Osten des Kontinents voranzubringen.
Ihre Aufgaben
- Eigenständige Umsetzung und Weiterentwicklung der Bereichsstrategie in Abstimmung mit der Geschäftsführung
- Leitung eines mehrköpfigen Teams im Wesentlichen am Standort in Essen sowie im Außenbüro in Istanbul
- Übergreifende Mitverantwortung für die Entwicklung der Stiftung Mercator als Mitglied des Management-Teams
- Pflege und Aufbau des Netzwerks der Stiftung in Politik, öffentlicher Verwaltung, Zivilgesellschaft, Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Medien
- Budgetverantwortung
- Enge Zusammenarbeit mit den anderen Bereichen der Stiftung sowie Tochtergesellschaften
Was Sie mitbringen
- Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Führen eines diversen Teams
- Fundierte Strategie- und Umsetzungskompetenz
- Mehrjährige einschlägige Berufserfahrung in Think Tanks, internationalen Organisationen, öffentlicher Verwaltung oder Zivilgesellschaft
- Ausgeprägte soziale Kompetenz sowie Team- und Kooperationsfähigkeit
- Belastbares Netzwerk in Politik, Zivilgesellschaft und Medien in Deutschland sowie in europäischen Institutionen und internationalen Organisationen und Foren
- Tiefe Kenntnisse zu europäischer und internationaler Politik
- Affinität zu den Themen der anderen Bereiche: Klima, Digitalisierung, Teilhabe und Zusammenhalt
- Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium
