Join the Nuclear Graduates programme to develop cyber security expertise protecting critical infrastructure across the UK nuclear sector over two years with three secondments.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Develop and apply understanding of protecting critical infrastructure, systems, and data from cyber threats within the nuclear industry
- Gain experience in risk assessment, threat analysis, security architecture, network defence, incident response, and digital forensics
- Deliver cyber security solutions fulfilling organisational requirements
- Develop technical skills in safeguarding digital assets and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
- Assist in designing and implementing secure systems, conducting vulnerability assessments, and supporting cyber resilience projects
- Develop knowledge and skills in penetration testing, secure coding practices, regulatory compliance (e.g., NIST, GDPR), and security operations
- Work with a sponsoring organisation and Energus team during three secondments across the UK nuclear sector
About You
The company is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- A minimum 2:2 Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or Digital Forensics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging cyber threats
- Right to work in the UK for the duration of the two-year programme
- Willingness and ability to travel and relocate as required
- Successful completion of security clearance checks
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary of £30,000 per year
- £5,500 individual travel budget for training and meetings
