Founding Sales Development Representative UK in London

Founding Sales Development Representative UK in London

London Full-Time No working from home possible
Stickybeak

Stickybeak is the rapid, global consumer testing platform built for FMCG marketers.

We help brands test marketing ideas - packaging, concepts, campaigns, claims - with real consumers in hours, not weeks, and at a fraction of traditional research. Marketers love us because we’re fast, intuitive, and built for them - not researchers.

We’re scaling quickly across the UK and Australia, driving our mission to make consumer testing accessible so marketers can make smarter, more confident decisions.

About the role

We're hiring a founding Sales Development Representative (UK) to support our Account Executive, turning demand into qualified pipeline right at the top of the funnel. You'll be directly accountable for booking demos and growing pipeline, so the impact of what you do shows up in the numbers every week. It's an entry-level sales role where you'll be coached properly, developed on purpose, and handed a real platform to build a career on. As a start-up in growth mode, what you focus on day to day will shift as we do.

Here's the thing: we're not hiring for a CV, we're hiring for a mindset. We want someone resilient, endlessly curious about people and businesses, and genuinely energised by asking the right questions to uncover a real need. Someone who's excited to work alongside AI tools rather than just use them, because AI is how we're going to scale this function. A marketing or business degree is valuable and will help you pick things up fast, but it's not what gets you the job. Attitude, curiosity, and grit do.

Key responsibilities

  • Research and identify target accounts across FMCG in your market
  • Use AI tools to sharpen your research, personalise outreach at scale, and work smarter, not harder
  • Run highly personalised outreach across email, LinkedIn, and phone
  • Ask sharp, relevant questions that uncover what a prospect actually needs, then write messages that speak to it
  • Follow up on inbound and event leads fast
  • Show up for Stickybeak at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
  • Run first conversations with genuine curiosity, not a script read aloud
  • Judge fit against our ICP: use case, team size, research budget, buying intent
  • Capture sharp, useful discovery notes in Hubspot after every call
  • Book qualified opportunities into demos and hand to the AE team with the context they need to keep momentum

About you

  • The right mindset: resilient, endlessly curious, and comfortable asking the questions that get to what someone actually needs
  • Real excitement about building a career in sales, not just testing the water
  • A genuine interest in working alongside AI tools, and curiosity about how they can help you and the wider team do more
  • Natural charisma and the ability to build rapport with someone you've just met
  • Resilience: a "no" is information, not a setback
  • Strong writing and speaking, including the ability to write a cold message someone actually replies to
  • Organised and process-driven, but comfortable thinking on your feet when the playbook doesn't quite fit
  • Genuinely curious about how businesses make decisions
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving start-up
  • A marketing or business degree is a bonus, not a requirement

About us

We're fun, high energy, and we're a team that genuinely cares about each other, not just the numbers on the board. We live our values every day: Curious, Conversational, and Focused. You'll be joining the founding UK team (which is rapidly growing) and we work in a hybrid environment with the office in Angel, London.
