Fish are like us - we all swim together. Strange Fish are bold, curious individuals who fit right in here. We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is for a chef who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a busy kitchen, and cares about quality, teamwork, and consistency.

Your Role as Sous Chef

When you are on shift, you are responsible for the kitchen. This includes:

  • Preparing food and ensuring high quality at all times
  • Making excellent sushi and kushiyaki sticks
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and safe
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards
  • Helping to control food costs and reduce waste
  • Supporting and guiding other chefs on shift
  • Making sure every guest receives a great plate of food, every time

You will work closely with the Head Chef and be an important part of the leadership team.
