Temporary Software Engineer Needed in Bournemouth!

Are you a talented Software Engineer looking for a short-term opportunity with the potential for a long-term contract? Our client\’s IT team in Bournemouth is seeking a temporary Software Engineer for a 3-month contract to support critical projects and the growing needs of the combined institution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Internal Systems Development: Collaborate with the existing Software Developer to maintain and develop various internal systems, including a bespoke CRM system.
2. Systems Integration: Work on critical projects to consolidate and integrate systems across two sites, establishing single sources of truth and eliminating duplication and manual processes.
3. Cloud Migration Preparation: Prepare for migration to a cloud-based records system and integrate it with existing systems.
4. External Applications Integration: Integrate internal systems with new hosted external application systems and SaaS-based systems.

Key Skills

1. Relational Databases: MS SQL, MySQL, Mongo.
2. Programming/Frameworks: PHP, Java, JavaScript Spring Boot, React.
3. Source Code Management: Git.
4. Systems Integration: APIs, workflows.
5. Reporting/Dashboards: Create and maintain reporting systems.
6. Attention to Detail: Proven ability to deliver projects on time.
7. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Working Hours and Location:

1. Location: Bournemouth offices preferred for on-site work; hybrid working will be considered.
2. Schedule: 5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 36.25 hours per week.
