The Role
We are looking for a skilled Welder / Metal Fabricator to work in our busy workshop in Bristol/Warmley. You will be involved in the full fabrication process, from measuring and cutting to welding and fitting metal components, ensuring high‑quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Full production of sheet metal fabrication measuring, cutting, folding, welding, and fitting
- Fabrication of steel sheet and sections (1mm - 10mm thickness)
- Operating and programming machinery such as guillotine and press brake
- Manual cutting using Plasma and Flame methods
- Soundproofing units
- Stripping out generator parts and fabricating new components if required
- Using appropriate handheld and powered tools to complete tasks
- MIG welding sheet metal (1mm - 15mm) and sections (3mm - 15mm)
Skills and Experience
- Strong sheet metal fabrication background
- General engineering knowledge
- Accurate measurement skills and attention to detail
- Good hand/eye coordination
- MIG welding experience
- Reliability, teamwork, and good communication skills
- CNC machine operation desirable
