De Alliance-kerk in Manchester is een multiculturele, internationale CAMA-kerk. De kerk is lid van de Alliance World Fellowship (AWF) en geregistreerd als liefdadigheidsorganisatie in Engeland en Wales. De kerk heeft veel impact op de multiculturele bevolking van Manchester, van wie er velen afkomstig zijn uit onbereikte of moeilijk bereikbare bevolkingsgroepen. Functieomschrijving
Als Family Pastor zoek je naar manieren om ouders en hun kinderen te bereiken en hen te ondersteunen in de verschillende ontwikkelfasen. Je werkt nauw samen met de Lead Pastor, coördineert een (nieuw op te zetten) family-team waarbij je intensief samenwerkt met de andere teams in de kerk. Je assisteert bij het pastoraat, draagt mede zorg voor het grote geheel van de gemeente, je geeft toerusting, bent onderdeel van het leiderschapsteam en je preekt ook met enige regelmaat in de gemeente.

Er wordt iemand gezocht met een helder getuigenis en persoonlijk geloof in Jezus Christus. Iemand die zich wil toewijden aan de missie, visie en waarden van de Christian And Missionary Alliance, met een passie voor jonge gezinnen met een multiculturele achtergrond. Je beschikt over uitstekende communicatieve en contactuele eigenschappen, je voelt je comfortabel in een multiculturele gemeenschap en staat open voor innovatieve manieren van missie en kerk-zijn. Vanzelfsprekend spreek je vloeiend Engels.
Van de kandidaat wordt verwacht dat hij/zij als zendeling zelf in zijn/haar financiën voorziet. CAMA Zending adviseert en ondersteunt hierbij. De werkplek is in Manchester, de vier na grootste stad van Engeland met ruim 550.000 inwoners. Meer dan 30% van de inwoners is niet geboren in Engeland.
