We are seeking a highly organised and detail driven Principal Production Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for production and manufacturing activities, support new product introduction (NPI), and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer requirements. Working closely with manufacturing leadership, the Principal Production Engineer will develop and implement Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) solutions, ensuring products can be manufactured efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively.

The role will involve:

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for manufacturing activities.
  • Support new product introduction and transition from design to manufacture.
  • Liaise with manufacturing leaders to develop robust DFM and DFT strategies.
  • Produce and maintain production build documentation, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Ensure manufacturing and test processes meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferably a Degree in Electronics Engineering or HNC equivalent qualification and experience.
  • Time-served engineer with extensive experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience within bespoke electronics / electromechanical manufacturing environments.
  • Preferably, experience working with RF systems, subsystems, and associated test equipment.
  • Strong understanding of DFM, DFT.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other PC-based software applications.
