Overview
Panel Wirer (Fixed Term Contract) β STI Limited. This full-time, fixed term role is based at the secure manufacturing facility in Poynton, Cheshire. The base pay range is provided by STI Limited and your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience β talk with your recruiter to learn more.
This role is on a full-time, 6 month fixed term contract, working 37 hours flexitime across 4.5 days per week. The role is based at our secure manufacturing facility in Poynton, Cheshire; prototype wiring experience or a time-served apprenticeship is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Complex cabinet/rack/box wiring using 22awg – 10awg cable/wire across Power, Data and RF functionalities.
- Use of various types of handheld crimp tools.
- Creation, routing and securing of multi cable/wire harnesses and looms.
- The termination of various connector types such as multi-pin, 68999, RF, data, power and single wires, crimped and soldered.
- Development of first off units and cabling.
Qualifications
- The ability to understand, interpret and work in accordance with Engineering drawings, wiring schedules, wiring diagrams, circuit diagrams and bespoke customer supplied assembly information.
- A minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in cabinet/rack/box wiring.
- IPC J-STD Certified would be a distinct advantage.
- Ability to obtain UK security clearance is required for this role.
