Are you passionate about creating a safe, compliant, and thriving workplace? We are currently looking for a HS&E Officer to join our Facilities department. This role will be responsible for the effective implementation of the Health, Safety & Environment Management System in accordance with the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining & implementing the HS&E policy & procedures to maintain ISO accreditation
- Supporting relationships & programs with customers, partners & stakeholders in matters concerning HS&E
- Devising effective change management & internal auditing processes
- Lead accident/incident investigations and define appropriate performance metrics
- Oversee and manage waste streams, emissions and energy use
- Fostering a self-managing HS&E workplace culture with clear roles and responsibilities
Requirements
- IOSH Managing Safely (willingness to work towards NEBOSH General Certificate)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Familiar with incident investigation processes and root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation
- Clear communicator and confident deliver training when necessary
