LLOYD ELECTRICAL BUILDING & MAINTENANCE SERVICES LTD is an electrical contractor and building maintenance contractor with contracts in social housing. We are a small family firm with 11 staff looking to expand and double in size in 2025.
Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age National Minimum Wage rates
Hours: The employer is flexible with working hours to accommodate childcare needs for school drop-offs/pick-ups, or alternatively, full-time hours are available Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8.00am - 5.00pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch. 40 hours a week
Duration: 1 year 9 months
Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work:
- Assist the director with daily data analysis
- Inputting data into certification software
- Keeping spreadsheets up to date and accurate
- Monitoring and filing of daily emails onto a cloud-based system
- Invoicing
- Stock orders
- Payroll tracking

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Skills required:
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis where required
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals
- Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management
- Drafts correspondence, writes reports and reviews others’ work
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures
- Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement
- Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning
- Seeks advice from more experienced team members when appropriate

Other requirements: We operate on an industrial estate with offices inside a business unit. Candidate must be able to get to and from work on their own.
