We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Business Administration Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy industrial firm while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.
Wage: £15,704 to £25,396.80, depending on your age
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm (15 min morning break, 30 min lunch break). 40 hours a week
Duration: 1 year 6 months
What you’ll do at work:
- Answering phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
- Organising and filing job documentation and safety records.
- Assisting with scheduling, timesheets, and job tracking.
- Data entry and updating internal systems.
- Supporting purchasing and stock control processes.
- Managing the company’s online presence.
- Provide administrative support for goods in and goods out.
- Providing general administrative support to the office team.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
Skills:
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation.
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation’s procedures.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.
- Completes tasks to a high standard.
- Takes responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, manages priorities and time in order to successfully meet deadlines.
- Uses relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report.
Your training plan: Business Administrator Level 3 apprenticeship, including Maths & English functional skills (if required).
