The Role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the Senior Property Manager in the day-to-day operation of two high-performing student accommodation properties in Manchester. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm. In this role, you will assist the Senior Property Manager by providing regular reporting and updates on the properties, identifying areas for improvement, and helping implement policies to maintain and build upon the Almero Student brand.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the Senior Property Manager in the day-to-day operation and overall performance of two student accommodation properties.
  • Assist with leasing activity including enquiries, viewings, sales, renewals, and marketing campaigns.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a key point of contact for residents, handling complaints and disputes professionally.
  • Support facilities and maintenance management, ensuring compliance with health & safety legislation and service level agreements.
  • Assist with property inspections, audits, and contractor management to maintain high standards across the buildings.
  • Support student wellbeing, welfare, and engagement, including the delivery of social events and escalation of concerns.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, universities, contractors, and the local community.
  • Assist with check-in, check-out, room turnaround, and damage recharges.
  • Identify and report risks, incidents, and safety issues, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.

  • Relevant experience within property management, facilities management, or related fields.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience delivering the highest standard of customer service.
  • Knowledge of facilities management, health & safety legislation, and compliance within student accommodation.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, web searches, with the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal hours (move-in weekends, peak season, etc.).
