About the Role
The role involves physically demanding work and a certain level of manual handling, which should be taken into consideration. Duties may involve working both in the field and in the packhouse.
Field duties may include:
- Picking strawberries and raspberries
- Crop husbandry work
- Tunnel maintenance and construction
- Turnip harvesting
- Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling
- Bending and use of tools
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Packhouse duties may include:
- Packing vegetables and fruits
- Maintaining quality standards
Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided.
