Role Description The Optical Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at our practice in Marlow. Day-to-day responsibilities include welcoming patients, managing appointments, and supporting the smooth flow of the clinic. The Optical Assistant will assist with frame selection, fitting and adjusting glasses, and providing guidance on lenses and coatings based on patients’ prescriptions and lifestyle needs. The role also involves handling basic administrative tasks such as updating patient records, processing payments, and coordinating with optometrists to ensure accurate and efficient service. The Optical Assistant is expected to maintain a clean and organized practice environment while consistently delivering friendly, professional support to every visitor.

• Ability to work on-site full time, including standing for extended periods and assisting with frame adjustments.
• Basic computer skills for appointment scheduling, record management, and point-of-sale systems.
• Previous experience in retail, healthcare, or optical environments is an advantage; training will be provided for the right candidate.
