Location: Eccles, Manchester

Salary: 35,000 basic plus overtime

Typical earnings: Approximately 45,000 per annum

Travel: Working away from home Monday to Friday throughout the UK

We are recruiting a Technical Surveyor for a specialist organisation supporting the delivery and installation of high-value medical and technical equipment. This is a nationwide role involving extensive travel and regular overnight stays. You will attend customer sites to establish the safest and most practical final-mile movement of specialist equipment, assessing access routes, weights, dimensions and installation requirements. You will then produce detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) that accurately reflect the agreed delivery and installation solution. The successful candidate must be comfortable working away from home from Monday to Friday and travelling to customer sites throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities

  • Attending customer sites and installation meetings as required
  • Carrying out detailed site surveys to establish safe delivery and installation solutions
  • Assessing access routes, dimensions, weights and equipment-movement requirements
  • Producing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for each surveyed project
  • Ensuring all surveyed work is completed in line with the agreed method
