Contract: Permanent, full-time Working arrangement: Office-based, five days per week The opportunity We are recruiting for a growing specialist construction contractor that delivers complex, high-quality projects across the UK.
This position will support the company's continued growth by researching prospective customers, making professional initial contact and arranging qualified meetings for the senior commercial team.
The opportunity would suit someone with excellent communication skills, confidence on the telephone, resilience and organisation who wants to develop a career within lead generation and business development.
Previous sales experience is not essential and graduates are welcome to apply.
The role Approximately 60% of the position will involve prospect research, outbound calling and introductory emails.
The remainder will cover CRM administration, follow-up activity, general office support and diary coordination.
- Research suitable businesses, projects and decision-makers.
- Make outbound calls and introduce the company at a high level.
- Qualify initial interest and arrange relevant meetings.
- Send professional introductory and follow-up emails.
- Maintain accurate prospect, call and meeting records.
- Manage follow-up dates and ensure agreed actions are completed.
- Support the sales process with accurate administration.
- Assist with diary management, meeting coordination and general office duties.
This is a lead-generation and coordination role.
You will not be expected to prepare technical quotations, estimate projects, negotiate contracts or close sales independently.
About you You must have excellent spoken and written communication skills, be comfortable spending a substantial part of the working day making outbound telephone calls, and remain confident and professional when dealing with rejection, unanswered calls and changing responses.
Previous sales experience is not essential; graduates with the right communication skills and attitude are welcome to apply.
