About Steward: Steward is a VC-backed startup on a mission to simplify the complex world of investor onboarding and AML using AI. We handle the real-world mess: discretionary trusts, hybrid partnerships, offshore jurisdictions, layered ownership, and ongoing monitoring - so compliance teams can move faster without losing defensibility. We’re building the system of record for onboarding and ongoing AML workflows across asset managers, private wealth, brokers and banks. If you want to sell a product that sits in the critical path of revenue (onboarding) and risk (AML), this is it.
You’re joining early. This role isn’t “carry a number and stay in your lane.” You’ll shape the motion, the messaging, and the market narrative alongside the founding team.
Mission of the role:This is a pure hunter seat with permission to build. You will own net-new logo acquisition, drive strategic revenue growth, and help create repeatable outbound and partner-led motions.
What does the role look like:- Own net-new logo acquisition and lead the end-to-end sales cycle: from prospecting to closing.
- Build pipeline like a founder through cold outbound, account-based plays, networks, events, and partnerships.
- Sell consultatively to MLRO/CCO/GC/COO/CIOs, demonstrating expert know-how in financial crime, regulation and AI adoption.
- Orchestrate multi-threaded stakeholders, handle procurement, and manage infosec/vendor risk assessments with confidence.
- Establish a disciplined operating rhythm: weekly pipeline creation targets, deal reviews, CRM hygiene, and forecast accuracy.
- Feed Product with deal insights: objections, competitors, pricing, and triggers.
- Activate partnerships with adjacent vendors (fund admins, portfolio/fund ops tech, compliance advisers).
- Represent Steward externally and build credibility.
- 10+ years in B2B SaaS / enterprise software sales with consistent over-quota performance.
- A proven record of net-new hunting and closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience selling into financial services with strong preference for AML / KYC / compliance / RegTech.
- Confidence handling security, vendor risk, and procurement cycles without losing deal velocity.
- High discipline on pipeline hygiene and forecasting (you run a tight desk).
- Strong writing: executive emails, deal recaps, and customer-facing proposals.
- A deep network in asset management, fund admins, private wealth, brokers or banks/credit institutions.
- A recognisable market presence (talks, posts, community, thought leadership).
- Learn: Work directly with the CEO & founding team (operator-led, high tempo, high ownership).
- Comp: Competitive base + uncapped commission + equity (we want builders, not passengers).
- Office: 5 days in the office in Paddington, London. We believe the best companies are built in the room.
- Impact: You’ll help define our ICP, win motion, partner motion, and how Steward shows up in-market.
