We are seeking a talented, passionate, and forward‑thinking English Teacher to join our outstanding team at Stevenage ESC (SESC) as we take the next exciting step in expanding the exceptional support we provide to our local community.
As part of the Nexus Herts Federation, SESC has been commissioned by the Local Authority to open a new SEND unit for up to 16 Year 11 students with EHCPs, enabling them to complete their KS4 studies in a supportive, specialised environment. This is a ground‑breaking development, making us the first provision in Hertfordshire to offer such a setting—creating life‑changing opportunities for students who need it most.
In light of the opening of the SEND Unit, we are increasing our staffing provision to support students across both the Centre and the Unit, with staff working across both areas in line with our current practice. Full or part‑time hours will be considered.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning to students.
- Play a key role in raising aspirations, attainment, and opportunities for young people as they prepare for their next steps in education.
- Support students across both the Centre and the Unit.
- Work across both areas in line with current practice, and collaborate with Rivers ESC and other partnership ESCs to provide high‑quality provision to more than 150 students across East Hertfordshire.
