We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Trainer to lead the delivery of our M365 Awareness & Training Programme across Stevenage and East Herts Councils. This key role focuses on driving adoption, enabling behaviour change, and building digital capability—helping staff and elected Members confidently embrace modern ways of working.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of M365 trainers across both councils
  • Identify training needs and develop a blended learning approach (in‑person, online, and self‑service content)
  • Design and deliver engaging, role‑based training aligned to programme priorities
  • Develop learning pathways informed by Digital Skills Survey insights
  • Deliver practical, scenario‑based training focused on real‑life ways of working
  • Produce accessible, inclusive learning materials and guidance
  • Support communication and engagement activities (e.g., FAQs, case studies) in collaboration with Communications teams
  • Monitor and evaluate training impact, supporting KPIs and continuous improvement
  • Lead an M365 Champions network to embed adoption across the organisation
  • Work with ICT and GDPR leads to ensure safe and effective use of M365 tools
  • Recommend and manage external training provision where appropriate (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning and encourage self‑service capability in an evolving digital environment

About you

  • Proven experience delivering M365 training and driving adoption across organisations
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring training teams
  • Ability to design engaging, blended learning programmes tailored to different roles and skill levels
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership
  • Experience creating accessible and inclusive learning content
  • Strong understanding of modern workplace tools and ways of working within M365
  • Experience measuring training impact and using data to drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to build networks such as champions communities
  • Passion for enabling others and building confidence in digital tools
  • High organisational, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple stakeholders
