About the Role
Our Business Change & Digital team is expanding, and we’re looking for passionate and curious people with experience in project management and a desire to support and inspire others. As a Business Change Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping the council deliver excellent customer experiences across all channels and modernise the way we work. You’ll lead customer-centred change projects that improve digital services, enable staff to be more productive, reduce costs, and make better use of technology.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing delivery of business change projects creating clear deliverable plans, managing staff resources and engagement with Sponsors.
- Contributing to discovery work and business case development to build the case for change and ensure delivery of value for customers and the council.
- Working collaboratively across multiple teams and with partners to turn user and business needs into clear deliverables.
- Navigating risks, managing budgets, and keeping projects on track to achieve outcomes.
- Measuring the impact of change to ensure benefits are realised and improvements are sustained.
What we’re looking for
- Experience of delivering projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ideally, experience working in council or public sector multi-disciplinary organisations (however not essential).
- An innovative, self-motivated, open-minded and flexible approach.
- A genuine enthusiasm for making services and local government better.
