Part of Housing and Investment, Resident and Estates Services is responsible for providing an end to end tenancy and leasehold management function. In addition, the team carries out statutory consultation, administers right to buy applications and processes other home ownership tasks. Our vision is to provide a \’Residents First\’ approach within a modern housing service.
Working from home, our office and within the community, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a customer-centred service. The role requires a working knowledge of housing management and practice, and the ability to interpret legislation into understandable guidelines.
We are looking for a well organised officer with good attention to detail to help the team to effectively deal with a range of customer enquiries.
You will play a lead role in delivering the work of the Council’s housing services for a specific area of the borough and to effect the transformation and continuous improvement of frontline housing management across all housing tenures.
You will work to achieve sustainable tenancies and communities as well as raising the level of customer satisfaction. You will provide a proactive and customer focused housing management service. Ensuring the Council fulfils its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders. You will be a regular and visible presence on estates; ensure estates are safe and well maintained and provide advice, information and reports on any housing management matter.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a fast paced and/or customer service environment with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise their workload.
You will be able to make decisions and take effective action in dealing with challenging situations. You must be able to work collaboratively with your colleagues to identify genuine needs of residents and jointly develop effective solutions as well as using your own initiative to achieve positive outcomes to problems.
