Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst (SBC) is seeking an experienced Commercial Asset Manager to join our senior team on a part-time basis (three to four days per week). Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will play a key part in managing and optimising SBC’s laboratory and office portfolio, supporting tenant growth, and shaping the evolution of one of the UK’s most successful life science campuses. SBC is home to a vibrant, collaborative ecosystem spanning start-ups to global pharma, with SBC-based companies having raised over £4bn in the past decade. The role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of a fast-growing life sciences cluster, co-located with GSK, and contribute to the next phase of campus expansion.
Responsibilities
- Managing leases, licences and renewals across lab, office and virtual occupiers
- Supporting tenant progression as companies grow and scale
- Working closely with finance, operations, business development and marketing teams
- Contributing to occupancy forecasting and commercial reporting
- Supporting senior leadership on longer-term development and planning activity
Qualifications
You will be RICS qualified, with strong experience in commercial leasing or asset management, ideally within science parks, innovation campuses or complex commercial estates. You will be commercially astute, highly organised, and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders.
Role details and benefits:
- Part time, 22.5 - 30 hours per week
- Salary: up to £70k pro rata, plus bonus of up to 15%
- Benefits include an 8% employer pension contribution, life insurance at four times salary, SBC healthcare scheme and access to a green car scheme.
