Your Responsibilities as a Workshop Controller:
The Workshop Controller makes sure the workshop runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. They ensure all repairs and servicing are done to a high standard, on time, and following company and manufacturer guidelines. They act as the main link between the front desk, technicians, and parts team, helping keep work moving and customers happy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign jobs to technicians based on their skills and workload
- Keep the workshop running efficiently and on schedule
- Make sure all work meets quality standards
- Update the service team on job progress and completion times
- Help technicians with technical questions when needed
- Ensure health and safety rules are followed
- Check job cards are completed correctly
- Work with the parts team to get parts on time
- Spot delays and fix workflow issues
- Check completed work before vehicles are returned to customers
- Support training and development of the team
- Help meet targets like productivity and customer satisfaction
