Your Responsibilities as a Vehicle Technician:
- Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with Toyota GB technical standards, ensuring high-quality work and an excellent customer experience.
- Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults, including non‐routine issues, using your technical knowledge and the latest technologies.
- Identify and report defects in accordance with MOT (Department of Environment) and Vehicle Safety Report (VSR) requirements.
- Complete all work within the allocated time, maintaining strong productivity and efficiency.
- Take responsibility for tools and workshop equipment, ensuring daily care and reporting any defects.
- Follow all Toyota and Centre processes, working safely and professionally at all times.
- Communicate with customers when required, building rapport, listening carefully, and clearly explaining work needed or completed in a warm and professional manner.
- Support and coach apprentice technicians, providing guidance and helping to develop their skills.
- Attend required specialist training to maintain and develop technical expertise.
- Work collaboratively as part of the Centre team to deliver a seamless, outstanding service to customers.
What we are looking for in a Level 3 Diagnostic Technician:
- Qualified as a Level 3 Vehicle Technician with Diagnostic/Master Technician.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry (preferably at Toyota and/or Lexus, but not essential).
- MOT Tester qualification (preferred).
- Confident communicator, adept at interacting with various individuals.
- Quick learner, able to pick up specific skills and techniques swiftly.
- Passionate about the automotive industry and eager to work for the world's largest automotive manufacturer.
- Process-driven and comfortable with technical skills.
- Organised and efficient in the workplace.
